WELCOME to  Birah (pronounced 'bi-ge', and sometimes spelled 'Begha' 'Bira' or 'Birha')

The Tranquil Sea Side village of Birah Resort is the Sunshines Coast's best kept secret. With all the convenience of the more well known resorts near by, but none of the negative aspects of their infrastructure.

Birah truly is a gem - bordered by a nature reserve, the indian ocean and miles of untouched coast line, its scenery and seclusion is unmatched!

Birah is a small community of holiday homes, and Cockle Inn is its only publicly available guest house. There are no shops or petrol stations in Birah, just quaint homes and unspoilt nature . . .

The Beach stretches for miles in both directions, the wildlife is a hive of activity and the river and lagoon are the perfect playground for young and old, fisherman and bather alike.

Time spent in Birah is time spent alive, you will fall in love with its magic, and no doubt will leave a little of yourself behind when you leave, but also, you will take a piece of Birah with you . . .
